Exposed open pipe going into stack?

The upstairs bathroom bath waste pipe used to go into our conservatory and out just under the roof into the stack pipe which is immediately outside.

We've had a new bathroom fitted upstairs and the plumber routed a new bath waste pipe to go directly outside, and not through the conservatory, however he then cut off the pipe we're it exits the wall and removed the rest of the pipe out to the stack.

Is there a simple way to seal off the pipe that goes out to the stack (on the right in the photo), guessing this should not be left exposed into the room!

Also what's the best way to get rid of the old pipe from the bath that it partly emerging from the wall (left side of the photo)?

An angle grinder would cut that back, or maybe a multi-tool if you have one.

Yep, easiest way is get the guy who left it like that to come and sort it out, that's ridiculous leaving it like that, he hasn't finished the job properly IMO
