I have a lean to greenhouse, and would like to add an extracter fan to take any heat out of my kitchen, to warm the greenhouse, throught the top opener, how do i go about this ? thanks.

Top opener in the kitchen or top opener in the greenhouse? If the latter then surely all the heat will just go straight out if you leave the top window open?*

If you don't already have a kitchen extractor then installing one is a very good idea, job for a qualified electrician though, if you want to do it 'legally' Will be relatively simple to duct into the greenhouse, although the heat may be gone by the time it gets there.

*disclaimer, I know very little about greenhouses

Top opener in the kitchen window, i want a fan as i want to duct it to the floor, which would be better for my tomatoes etc.

I need to know how to get the fan in the glass, every thing else,i don't have a problem with, thanks.

Easy one, get a glass cutter

Will be much easier if the glass can be removed from the greenhouse first. You cut the circle to the size you need, with a smaller one just inside, then carefully break out from the centre.

If the pane is small enough it might just be cheaper to get one with the hole already cut in at a local glaziers. Or take the pane and have them cut it.

For this type of application you won't want a standard window fan, you'll need an inline fan, as this is designed to push air along a pipe, window fans just dump the air on the other side of a window/wall.

sorry should of mentioned, it's double glazed  so, will it destroy the purpose of DG, or would it mist up ?thanks.

if its double glazed then i belive your best option is to buy a new double glazed unit with the hole already cut and sealed.

IMHO by the time the "hot" air gets fron the kitchen to the greenhouse, it'll be so little as to render a bigish job like that not worth the bother. Would it not be simpler to put a little heater in?
