i have come to the last bedroom to put laminated flooring down and decided first i would put a double socet on the opposit side of the room to the one i have so i put the new socket in ran the cable under the floor took the existing socket frount of and there were 3 lives neutral and earth so it has been used to god knows where can i junction box off one of these cables under the floor boards or not safley

I would suggest extending the ring rather than spurring for a couple of reasons.

1: you aren't supposed to use screw connections where they can't be accessed for inspection and crimp joints are not very suitable for joining more than two cables together.
2: it will make it easier to further expand the system later.

first you need to find out which two of the three cables to the existing socket are part of the ring. You can do this by seperating out the cables and then using a multimeter to check for continuity. you should find continuity between corresponding cores of the ring cables but not between the cores of the ring cables and those of the spur.

Remove one of the two ring cables from the existing socket and join it under the floor to a new peice of 2.5mm T&E cable using crimps enclosed in a chockbox (use a ratchet crimper and use blue crimps for the live and neutral and red crimps for the earth, crimps are color coded by size)

run this peice of cable to the new socket then run another peice of the same cable from the new socket back to the original socket.
