We have 2 way switching on our stairs. I want to get another switch put rights outside our Bedroom door which is at the end of the upstairs landing. At present there's only a switch at the top of the stairs and the bottom. I know that the top landing switch would need to be changed for an intermediate switch and 3 core and Earth run to the proposed new switch posn which will have the 2 way switch taken from the top landing refitted. Question is,
The new switch Position will be on the same partition wall as a Power Shower on the other side of the Partition. The Partition is made with 75mm Stud and has plasterboard and Plastic Panelling on the shower side and Plasterboard on the Landing side. To put the switch just outside the Bedroom Door, it will be right opposite power shower and hot & cold Feeds to it. Is this OK seeing as its not actually in the Shower room Zones ?
