Hi,

Looking to put up some wall lights in the living room after the previous owners left bare wires for us.

The problem I have is that the wall lights we want won't fit, the wire from the wall is too short to get through the fitting and connect.

Is there any way of extending the wire?

Cheers

In this case I would use a plain and simple "Choc-block" connector, provided there is room behind the fitting, and the individual cores taken from a piece of lighting flex like this

to the light itself. If there's not room, the only options will to be to create room (by chopping out a bit of the wall) or crimping (which will require proper crimpers).

Cheers!

What is a "Choc-block" connector and where can I get one from?
