Was looking to purchase one today online and didn't realise how expensive they were! Can anybody point me in the right direction for a cheap one or even just for long flying leads?

Use some singles cable instead or even twin and earth/artic cable.

Agreed, make your own out of flex.
If using a long extension for earth loop measurement, calibrate the lead just before making the measurement as temperature can affect its resistance.

Cheapest reel I have seen, for the r2 tests, was about £48 including VAT for 30M.
You can buy a 100M of flex for that and still have some change.

You can make do but it'll never be as good as the real thing.
I have a 50M Kewtech wander lead and find it invaluable and very convenient.
