You can go Fibolites with 100mm cav and 90mm PIR interlocking (rebated) insulation such as this for example.

It's a heck of a lot more expensive to buy than say Dritherm fibreglass and lot more effort to fit.

So how would Kingspan Kooltherm K106 compare on price and ease of installation compared to that PIR stuff?

There is little to choose from the PIR stuff. It's all a faff. But make sure that it is 'full fill' compatible (100mm cavities), i.e. rebated on all sides and foil coated etc.
