Looking for recommendations for a decent masonry emulsion, had issues with bubbling in places last time - right back to the render, even tho it didnt happen the time before when painted, only happened after the last job, 7 years ago admittedly, gonna give the affected areas maybe half a dozen coats to have a hope of it matching in with unaffected areas, will use a miscoat first but want to use decent emulsion, its my own property btw, thanks
 
I’d focus first on proper surface prep rather than just adding more coats, otherwise the bubbling can come back again. If parts are back to the render, stabilising those areas before repainting is key.

Mist coat is a good call, just make sure the base is solid first.
