Ive got some exterior sash windows to re paint,I've prepped them all,there is a lot of bare timber and also a lot of rotten timber which has been removed and repaired with dry flex.im gonna use dulux weathershield u/c and gloss,but as some of the wood has a lot of knots in it i was gona prime it with aluminium wood primer is this ok under weathershield can anyone tell me

Aluminium primer is great for knotty, resinous timber, but you shouldn't use the Dulux quick drying acrylic weathershield undercoat over an aluminium primer, it must be an oil based undercoat over aluminium.
Thanks,yeah I'm gonna use the oil based u/c and gloss so their wont be any probs using this primer with it?
