external controls combi boiler

I have a gloworm xtrafast 120 EL combi boiler. I have fitted a Drayton
Tempus 1 electronic timeswitch in the hall and wired it as per its instruction (leaving the link out between L and 1). The boiler manual basically covers external controls on page 17 sec 11.1 but not clearly. Where do I wire it in the boiler?

Remove the link wire in the boiler and connect these to 1 and 3 in the timer

Thank you Dextrous. I will pysically do this on boxing day or day after. Do I have to do anything with the boiler manual clock or will its controls now be ignored.
