Bit of an oddball here and I'm not sure if this is the correct section.

I know there are regulations regarding installing a wood burner in a house.

Do such regulations exist for an outdoor fireplace?

If not, what if air was heated via a heat exchanger (so this is NOT the exhaust / flue / chimney), and pumped into the house?

So there is no combustive transfer from garden to house. Just warm/hot air being blown in? Possibly even recirculated from within the house or a combo of both.

Thoughts?

There are oil and gas external boilers.
These still need to meet the same safety standards that fitting as fitting it in the house.
With a log burn probably more awkward as you would need to get the flue above the roof unless it was away from the house.

The intention would be to have it away from the house. More akin to a Chimenia or fire pit than an actual burner.
