Sorry if this is covered somewhere but my search did not find it .......

I'm having the external walls of my house re-rendered - full two stories on 2 faces. The builder has suggested putting in a drip bead half-way down the wall in addition to the one at the base of the wall. Render will be a smooth unpainted finish.

Are there any concerns/downsides/benefits in this approach - I get the impression this makes life easier for the builder but I'm worried there may be consequences I have not considered.

Thanks

It sounds like the walls to big to do in one hit for your builder, cant he get another plasterer in to give him a hand.

It might look a bit odd with a drip bead half way up the wall.

A 2 and 1 gang should manage it ok.

Thanks for the reply - not too worried about the look (believe me it will look 200% better than it did before we started) any other downsides/impacts?
