External stop tap on 25mm mdpe

Are 25mm to ,,25mm brass stop taps ok for underground work on mdpe? Don't like the plastic ones. Thanks

And with regards to the 25mm plastic sockets for underground are the compression or push fit better?

I think the brass fittings must be of the dzr (dezincification resistant) type. Fittings such as couplings (Sockets as you call them) or elbows, doesn’t matter too much whether pushfit of compression if plastic.

Then as I said, I think they have to be dzr. Or of the plastic type.

I don’t think they are, I’ve just searched some and some are claiming to be dzr so perhaps go with these, slightly dearer, but probably worth it

Yes BS1010 is just a British Standard

Afaik plasson are ok. Unsure on quality.

Would always use a plasson or a philmac compression underground, it's what they're designed for.
