I have an external tap in an alleyway by the side of the house that everybody keeps using, i cannot find a way of shutting it off from inside without shutting off all my water. Does anyone know of a device i can use to protect it and stop it being turned on?

fit a stopcock to the pipe that supplies the tap only.
Or if theres not much room a 15mm ball-o-fix valve on the pipework inside your property where you can isolate it. Odd place to put an outside tap though
