Im looking at putting a tap in the rear garden but unsure what tge best way to do would be.

Kitchen is at the front of the house with concrete ground floor . Bathroom is at the rear but obviously on the 1st floor. I appreciate getting a pipe outside is fairly easy. But what about frost on a long-ish run of copper pipe .

As it happens tomorrow we are having the current bath/toilet ripped out and having a shower fitted . So this looking like the perfect time to atleast get the pipe work ready .

As far as i can tell the 2 options are either straight out the wall and down .

Or

Up into the loft. Through the soffit and down in the the garden.

Just need ideas for frost protection

For frost protection ,fit an isolator internally and a drain cock externally. In winter close the isolator and drain the pipework to tap. It's unlikely you would need to use it in winter.

I think polypipe would be preferable.

Is there access past the side of the house?
