Just a quick question..

I have a twin socket in the kitchen, and want another on the other side of the outside wall for a water feature.

It is on a radial circuit so was hoping I could just drill through the back to the outside wall, fish some 2.5mm twin and earth and wire up to the internal socket ?

Is it that easy ?

Thanks in advance !

What makes you say it is a radial?

Do you know that or are you saying it because there is only one cable to the socket?

What is the rating of the fuse/MCB on the circuit?

I will double check before I do anything. It's a newbuild so suppose could be a ring main. but will get into the board and double check

Just on an MCB so I'll buy an RCD Weatherproof socket.. thank you !
You say the house is a new build? If so, all circuits should be RCD protected.
Let’s see a pic of your consumer unit.

And please identify which MCB turns off the existing socket.
What is this socket used for.

I will get a picture, its just a double socket in the dining room

It is always sensible to have a double pole switch inside the house that disconnects Live and Neutral to the outside socket.

1) it enables the socket to be fully isolated should it become damaged or water logged.
2) it prevents use of the ouside socket by people not entitled to use it.

Hi...this is the board
