My home is 12 years old and I have what looks like loose fibre (yellow) insulation in the loft. I want to increase my level of insulation. Can I put roll insulation directly on top of this loose fibre? as it does squash down. Or do I need to remove it all first? Many thanks.

I don't see any problem putting one insulation over another to increase the total R value in your attic.
