Extra rads

Hiya,

Having a loft conversion done , putting 2 rads and a towel rad , the builder is saying he can tee off from an existing 15mm rad connection rather than coming off teh 22mm pipe (which is more disruptive as invloves clearing a room and lifting up boards).

Is this possible or will the heating having issues?

Depends on hte system, but as a rule, builders know as much on heating design as my missus knows about parking.

Your builder seems to be a case in point.

Can you explain.

All my rads are on 15mm teeing off 22m but the ones in the loft will be the only ones on 15mm off 15mm

It depends on flow rates, heat loss, rad sizes, pipe runs, boiler etc.

It might work, it might not. We can only go off the information you have given.
