Extractor fan operating without light on? Have we a haunted

Hi everyone, i have a en suite with an advent extractor which is linked to the light switch and will remain on for a few moments after its turned off.

This evening (typical) the extractor is operating for a few seconds every 10 seconds or so without the light on?

Is this a warning sign that there is a problem?

The timer circuit seems to have called it a day - best replace the extractor like for like if you can to save any wiring or wall alterations.

My daughter has an advent fan in the bathroom it has a control unit outside the bathroom above the door which operates the fan as required.Not sure if it detects moisture content but it turns itself on and off randomly when the room is used.
