Hello everyone,

I think I have a problem with my hot water supply. The hot water is extremely hot. I used a electrical boiler, and the water coming out is so hot that you basically cannot touch it. It causes a problem because my basin does not have a mixer tap, so I end up using cold water all the time.

I visited my friends' homes, and their hot water didn't seem to be as hot as mine. You could wash your hands with the water from the hot water tap alone.

Is there a way you can adjust the temperature?

Many thanks for any advice.

Do you mean an immersion heater?

If so, then you can adjust the thermostat. You can also replace the thermostat (if it's faulty) within doing any plumbing. Just isolate electrically before you do either of these things.

If it's not an immersion heater, then please describe more about your system so that it can be identified.

Yes there is.

I have a feeling that when you say "boiler" you might mean a hot water cylinder with an immersion heater. Please describe what you have or put up a picture.
