It looks like the two black levers on either end of the flexible ,silver coloured, braided hose that both need to be turned on to open the filling loop.

Thank you so much Terry. All up and running now . Hot water. Just putting heating on to make sure its OK

My boiler always used to lose pressure
Good morning Suzanne,

Although you’re up and running now, if it does continue to lose pressure, then there’s an issue that needs addressing before you end up with more problems. Without knowing your system or how many times you’re partner sorted it, It can wait until after Christmas.

Ahh right, probably nothing serious then. It was just with you saying it always used to lose pressure.

Me being dramatic
Because he used to fix it I didnt even think anything of it. But no, it is not that often that it goes but at least I can do it myself now. Thanks Chris

Oh dear ,just checked your pic ,and you have put too much water in ,pressure is 3 bar. Far too high. Turn boiler off immediately. Should be only 1 bar. You will have to reduce pressure right away ,the PRV may well have opened already.

Dont panic, nothing to worry about just let some water out of a bleed point in a radiator into a bowl or pot or something and the pressure will come down, take it down to about 1.5 Bar
