failing to understand the rules... again.

No speech due on Tuesday, All of the Tory bleaters can cheer - his popularity figures are down to the same level as Sunak. Maybe even lower.

Man on a mission so not concerned,

His approval rating is below Sunaks.

Quite an achievement.

It's hilarious how the usual suspects use the Tory failings to excuse the grift and influence peddling of the current administration.

He has spread doom and Gloom with every utterance, running the country down.

A real Leader, would have bounded in, shown vision, raised morale, and produced a forward thinking plan.

Labour are showing they are not sure what to do, now they are in power.

No he has pointed out some things need fixing. Looks to be long term economics. Tough decisions. A fact. Insufficient money coming in for everything to be perfect so decisions need to be made. The budget will provide info on that aspect. Reeves speaks tomorrow. All she may do is explain why.

Some are already saying she is talking rubbish in one particular area however the IFS did think borrow your way out and then promptly dismissed the idea as soon as full figures were available.

It's about the timing of the declaration, the match had started before the football was identified.
Advice was being sought, and when that advice was received the correct declarations were made.
The issue about the match having started simply illustrates how nothing happens immediately. Things take time.
And when the anti-Starmer brigade got hold of it, they turned an innocent issue into a political football.

How has the Peer, Lord Alli, benefited by his generosity?
How has he gained influence, when he was already a Labour Peer?

He said the delay was due to his staff seeking advice on what was declarable, which is plausible but I don't personally buy it. He lectures the Commons on the law, was a lawyer, 28 days is plenty of time and the facts and rules are clear. I suspect he was buying time to avoid political embarrassment. I'm not bothered about kieth having a personal donor, as long as there is no suggestion of undue influence. On the other hand how does politics works without money?

Your allowed to disbelieve.

They're pretty complicated and nothing to do with law.

I suspect he was buying time to avoid political embarrassment.
You're allowed to suspect.

How can a current Labour Peer gain any additional influence?

Some comments are a bit weird. Seem to forget that the donations were all declared.

In Rayner's case she probably gave the reason for her decision in the clip. It may turn out that according to the rules and what these are actually applied to are entirely correct - not her personal holiday. Gov business yes but that was not what she was on.

It's all just mud slinging.
