Hi,
We have a 1900 small terraced house in South West London. I'm not sure if it was damaged but the front has been rendered and is one of only a couple of houses on the street that doesn't have any original features like lintels or arches over the windows and doors, so its look pretty plain in comparison.
We were thinking of giving it a coat of paint and I was wondering if there is any way we could add some character, like painting fake lintels over the windows or something similar. I don't mind spending a bit on it, but I don't have a big budget for this.
I'm reluctant to take off the render as I have no idea what's under there.
Any advice, tips or ideas would be much appreciate.
Cheers
