False alarm on Wickes alarm showing 'fire' - no detection!

Hi all

I have a Wickes wirefree 710751 system (by Response I think). I have had a few false alarms and the event log shows 'Fire'. I have no fire detection installed on the system!

The only reference to 'fire' in the manual is the ability to configure a zone to give a 'fire' event when activated (i.e. if you put a fire detector on that zone). I checked through all the zones, including unused ones, none are configured in this way, they are all standard intruder configuration.
Any ideas?

if no zones are set as type fire, and every time you get a false alarm its coming up as fire.

either a zone is set to fire or theres an issue with the equipment?

I suggest you activate all your detectors one by one and find out if you get a fire response when the system is unarmed.

this may help find the problem, let us know how you get on.
