Hi

We are in the process of making a false chimney using metal studs. This chimney is for a wood burning stove, however, i am not sure what the dimensions need to be ie depth from wall, width of the breast and dimensions of the opening.

I would appreciate if someone could help us out even a small diagram would be good.

Perhaps you could call in a GasSafe for a view on your proposal? What's in your post could possibly be dangerous for a DIY project?

We are just making the metal stud frame and the correct fire boards, the installation of the wood burning stove will be done by a professional company, hope this helps.

But yes, there will be regulations that it will probably be best to talk with your installer about, before proceeding.
yes spoke to him and he said that we could put up the frame, but we hae no idea on the dimensions for it.
