I have seen the Farrow and Ball Tallow (for walls) and Farrows Cream (skirting, window frame and door).
From their description it looks like both are "Estate" Emulsions.

I would normally go for a vinyl matt for the walls and a vinyl silk for skirting and doors, etc.

Can anyone tell me if these estate emulsions are "washable" please?
I am doing the bedrooms in our small family terraced house (as opposed to a country residence where people wash their hands).

I am also interested to find out what people think about painting interior UPVC window sills with a vinyl matt. e.g. Would I be better using a can of car spray?

Thank you for looking,
Bern

Estate emulsion is not washable and is one of the least durable paints on the market. Their modern emulsion has a higher vinyl content so a bit more durable. Little green intellimatt would be a good choice, washable and similar colour palette and finish to F&B.

Painting the sills - nope will crack, peel and flake. Needs a specialist primer suitable for plastic.

DCDEC,

Little green sounds the way to go.
I've also been told Johnsons flat matt might be worth trying?

I did wonder about those UPVC parts and car paint. If it was that simple everyone would be doing it this way.
I'll have a look for some plastic primer for UPVC.

Thank you for this advice,

Bern

Your welcome, its rumoured that johnstones have the F&B codes so can produce the colours quite accurately but i'm not sure about the durability, the LG really is good.

I agree with dcdec. I'm unimpressed with either F & B emulsion - overpriced and unpredictable.

Little Greene is much better.
