Farrow and Ball floor paint

Has anyone used Farrow and Ball floor paint.

I have been renovating the staircase and having stripped back years of gunk to bare wood primed as they advised with their pink stain blocker primer. The first coat of floor paint felt really watery and runny and has not covered the pink of the primer. I know I've got a second coat to go but has anyone else used these paints and does my experience sound normal?

did the paint need to be stirred first and if so did you make a thorough job of it?

Do not buy this floor paint! I've painted my wooden staircase before with a good floor paint that I can't get hold of anymore so I knew what to expect. When it needed a 2nd coat I went for Farrow & Ball. Big mistake, it was like painting with white water. I'm going to to see if I can get my 40 quid back and try a different one.

Interestingly I went back to Farrow and Ball and said it must have been defective. They sent it to their labs for testing and eventually I received a call back that it was "slightly" lower than spec but that I could have my money back. Very nice lab chap called and told me they knew it was very thin paint and didn't cover their own pink primer.

Ridiculous!

I eventually top coated with something else (can't remember what but probably dulux eggshell) and everything looks fine now.
