I have an outbuilding and last night I noticed that the PVC or vinyl (not sure) fascia board at the front above the entry door is sagging, I ahve attached 2 images. Can i do a temporary fix on this with tape in the interim, pending someone coming out to fix. Can I nail it in to the roof wood for more permanent fixation?

Cheers

Normally nailed on. Can you see the nails? They are white capped nails.

Looks like a timber inside the roof space is pushing it out. How much stuff has the missus crammed into the loft?

OP,
The "timber inside the roof space" mentioned above is the joist tail.

There doesn't appear to be any timber backing, & the fascia joining connector strip that was previously spot glued-on has come away - a temporary fix would be to raise the loose board into position & nail to the next joist tail to the right.
The gap at the fascia join should be about 6mm to 10mm.
What is the sheet material thats hanging down? Could the sheeting have dragged the fascia out of position?
