the boiler has a continuous orange light and will not do anything.

tested for power into boiler and has 230V when tested switch live no voltage.
does this mean faulty pump?
have limited knowledge so would love some help?

It means that the boiler is receiving no external switch live signal. The 230 volts is probably the permanent live. For these boilers to work you need 230 volts to the switched live terminal, and the pump is controlled by the board.

If you don't gt 230 to the switched live then the boiler and the pump will not operate.you need to investigate the reason why no signal to switched live.Without knowing your system type further help is difficult.
