Faulty boiler

Hi
My boiler won't turn on. It's a Worcester Bosch group 24i RSF wall mounted combination boiler for central heating and mains fed domestic hot water.
When I turn it on the boiler the electrode sparks but main burner doesn't fire up!
The same thing happened about 6 years ago and it was down to the fan, although this time it sounds as if the fan is on.
If anyone has any thoughts on the matter, it would be much appreciated before I call out a specialist!

Check the gas is on at the meter, are other appliances in the house working such as a fire or gas hob?

if so call out a boiler engineer
