Hi. Just bought a used fridge freezer for my son's rented flat and although I switched it on before I bought it to make sure it worked, when I got it to the flat it wasn't working. Think its about 2-3 years old. The light is coming on but there's no refridgeration noise at all. I left it a few days to settle (although we had been careful and kept it upright while moving it) but there's still no joy. Should I give up and NEVER buy used again??

Yes I did ask and they had moved into a new flat and needed an undercounter fridge so this was too big (and that was true-they did need an undercounter fridge). I'll check on it again at the weekend but I'm thinking its a loss of £50 and a lesson learned! First time buying second hand and will be the last-knew there was a reason why I was so sensible!!
