Hi I am writing this to before I go out and buy a new programmer.

My progammer seems to work but when in the off position or when timer is off the boiler come on and it seems to be doing this from the room thermostat.

I have tested the voltage on the thermostat and when the programmer is off there is still 240v on the live is this correct. Should it have 240V or should it be 0V as programmer is off?

I seem to think if programmer is off there should be not voltage at thermostat.

I would welcome ny help I don't want to buy another programmer if its not required.

Many thanks

That s what I thought but I just want to be sure as I dont want to spend £50 on new programmer.

I did take programmer off and turned power back on and there was no voltage at thermostat. so power is being direct by programmer.

If you have the instructions for the programmer, it should have a wiring diagram.

Find out which is the heating on live connection. If it is live with the ch is off on the programmer, then it's hasta la vista programmer! ;)
