We nearly all have smart phones, so what are your favourite apps?

My top are:

Soundhound - brilliant if you want to know what a song is
Google sky - amazing for star gazers
Rain alarm - shows the rain clouds heading towards you
Real Calc - great scientific calculator
Historypin - put old photos on google earth map, more people should do it
TV guide uk lite - great tv guide

Any suggestions?

Here are a few of mine....................all free by the way!

Around Me
Tv24.co.uk
Pocket pond
Sickipedia
Met Office
Plumb centre

Also: Flood Alert

an audible phone would be good. Apps in the main, nah, for dumb users IMHO.

You rotten barstewards... I'm sure you all know that my phone is a relic from about 7 yrs ago. So isn't smart, wouldn't know an app from it's ass. I can get the internet on it (prefer the Opera browser though) and when on the internet, a snail, on GHB could move faster.

My favourite apps are -

Telephone - allows you to make and receive phone calls to or from any phone in the world.

SMS - allows non-audio communication between your handset and others with the same app. Messages are in the form of something called a 'text', but may require you to learn a whole new language. IMHO, FWIW, it's GR8, LOL!!

I recently succumbed to the "must have a smart phone" mantra.

The 3 apps I do use quite a lot are:
Bosch Camera. Take a pic of the job you're doing. Add dimensions before the plasterers hide your cables (free)
Carpenter. A spirit level on drugs. Very handy but paid for (to get rid of annoying ads).
Camera+. Much better than the camera on my 3GS (paid for)

wow i thought i was old, yet you lot sound well past it.

Apps are great... theres even a spirit level one, and a calculator, and i'm sure you can order on line from your suppliers whilst on the job...etc.

Is there a compass NSEW, even though i don't have/need a phone like that.
Sorry? what?

Yes you can get an app as a compass and some people do want that...

But you can get apps that suit just about everyones' hobbies/lifestyles..

just because you don't do it, don't diss it..

Back on track.... any useful apps people have?

Doesn't that pi$$ the missus off though? Or is she too busy trying to keep the page in her book steady?
