I am instllng a shower pump under a bath, connected to a fused double pole switched connector. Is it allowable to have the FCU in the bathroom? If so wher? The FCU obviously needs to be reasonably accessible in ccase the pump goes US.

It is safest to be sited just Outside the Bathroom Door, 2m above floor level, and labelled accordingly, this will satisfy BS7671:2001.

The FCU can be installed in the bathroom so long as it cannot be operated by a person using the bath or shower, however considering the device it will control, the best place will be external to the bathroom, just remember to install a 3A fuse in the FCU.
