Hello, please help with my query re. blown FCU.
FCU connects underfloor heating in bathroom along with it's timer/stat (Devireg 540). System has worked well since professionally fitted 4 years ago. Supplier seemed to think fault can't be with Devireg system as "nothing to go wrong". Upon checking the FCU I noticed the 13a fuse had blown as well as the yellow loop wire connecting either side of the fuse on the inside of the faceplate. The neighbouring black loop was fine. Is it worth just replacing the faceplate to have the same happen again, or has this occurred through 4 years of age and is one of those things.

Please help if you can. Thanks.

I'm not sure what the yellow and black loops that you mention are?

Does the FCU have a neon on it?

Can you post a photo of the damaged FCU for us to have a look at?

Thanks RF

Yes there's a neon on it. Will try for a piccy and get a clearer description of the yellow and black wired loops on the back of the faceplate.

Thanks Taylor2

No wonder the FCU wiring is shot as the fuse hadn't been swapped since installation. ie. It was put in with a 13a.
