Hi as advised on an earlier post I have wired as follows:

2.5mm to FCU - 1.5mm from FCU to timer - 1.5mm from timer to ladder rad

Please advise what size fuse to use in FCU ..... 13A ok?

Thanks I take it that generally speaking Watts/Volts = Amps.
So, 538/230=2.4, therefore 3 Amp fuse
Thanks a alot

We are assuming your ladder radiator has an electric element in it to heat the water?

Was the BTU figure the rating of the radiator? That maybe the wrong figure. That will be the output when its filled with hot water.

There should be a rating written on the electrical heating element.....divide the watts stated there by 230 to get your current rating.

Is there no "W" rating on the rad?

Generally, these things are around 150W.

The elctric element (where the power lead meets the radiator) should have a label on it saying what the rating is.

Hi, element was pre fitted and the thermostat/cable supplied separately. No markings on either!
