Fence post next to wall...

Chaps, i am replacing the fence shown below. The post that is currently there is in some concrete at the bottom with a timber spreader as you can see. I believe the post has been notched to go over a little step in the concrete raft the wall is built on.

I assume as the wall isn't mine I will need to follow a similar methodology rather than popping a couple of frame fixers through the 100 x 100 timber post into the wall?

Any other suggestions on how to do this? I did consider putting the post corner to corner with the wall so that there is no overlap between wall and fence post.

Technically yes
But I'd ask the wall owner if it was ok to screw to their wall
