I recently erected some fences by setting them into concrete, a lovely job even if I do say so myself.

A neighbour of mine has just erected a section by using Metpost fixings.

I've got more fencing to do and the Metposts do appear an easy option, so long as I can drive them in straight. Anyway, apart from being quick, are there any real benefits or pitfalls from using these?

From appearance, they don't look as strong though, as if you could perhaps push them over at some point.

Thanks.

Personally, concrete posts, concreted in place. Should last for ever.

Bloomin' Met posts often move off at an angle, if they contact a rock below, and sometimes they tend to twist round.
Concrete always wins!
