Ferolli Combi boiler

My Ferroli Modena 80 E boiler has developed a problem. The central heating is only getting luke warm, even on a high setting. The hot water supply is OK. Is there anything obvious I can check myself before I call in the experts.
(I am a qualified engineer, unfortunatly not in plumbing & heating)

Check it's full of water? Apart from that, not really. Obviously could be a temp sensor/thermostat problem.

worth changing heating and hot water thermistors together on this boiler.
