i posted a problem concerning this boiler and was told it was a furred up heat exchanger does this have to be changed or can it be repaired because i have been quoted £400 for the part alone.

Before you start suspecting the heat exchanger check the water restrictor in inlet of the water flow turbine sensor is not clogged.
Scale is very regional - some areas suffer badly others don't. Ignore any advice regarding scale unless they live in your area
