Ferroli Modena 80 combi boiler problem

Hi. Need some advise. The pressure drops when not in operation and on topping up the pressure increases but it starts to make a banging noise and pushes water out of the overflow. When correct pressure is obtained both CH and HW work ok although overflow still drips.

if it is dripping costant then it is the overflow faulty.

You most likely need to replace your pressure release valve and check out faq 7.

It sounds as if the expansion vessel is failed or depressurised.
