I have a Ferroli Optima 701 boiler which is not producing hot water. CH works fine.

When I have the hot tap running I have LED's 1 and 4 ON which is OK
However, LED's 2 and 6 are OFF.

This leads me to believe that the DHW flow meter is faulty. To check this I turned the CH on and then turned the hot water tap on. Under Section 'B' I should get a warning LED with 2 ON. This does not happen so this probably confirms the flow meter.

Does anyone agree with this or is there a possibility that it is something else?

I swapped the wires for the temp sensors of CH and DHW over to check if it was that but it made no difference. (Changed the CH sensor a year or so go as it was faulty)

Cheers for any help!
Dave

Have you considered testing the DHW flow switch electrically?

These fault lights are only indications to give a guide to experienced engineers and not an idiots guides to fault finding!

You mean to test if it's a wiring issue instead of a faulty flow switch?

Hadn't actually thought about that, but definitely worth a shot, thanks!
