Merry Christmas and a hHappy New Years to one and all on this plumbing section. May I thank one and all who have assisted me when I have needed help with boiler repairs and gas issues. May Santa be good to you for being good boys and girls.

Seconded.
But Santa has brought me 'flu so I'm in the Bah Humbug group as usual.!

Surely Danny did not abandon Vokera and buy a Vaillant 438 ???

Regret the new Vokeras are a pale image of the old ones

438 belongs to a client. Be seeing him in 2008. No doubt be looking for help on that front.

I do have to say that I was not impressed by the way the new Vokeras have the bits shoe horned into a tiny case.

However I did take the trouble to get someone who could show me how they may be taken apart.

Nevertheless you have to drain the HE to remove and inspect/clean the burner!

Is this the new ones with the HE set sideways Tony?

Saw these at Installer live and thought what a stuipd and awkward design to work on

The chap on the stand insisted you only needed 12mm clearance from the side of the boiler to take the burner out.

I just couldn't believe him
