I have a rather peculiar problem with this car and wondered if any experts might be able to shed some light.

The car is overheating, however if the car is stationary temperature is stable, also if I am travelling at speed (40mph +) it is also ok. At low speeds (town driving) the tempurature rockets. As most of the travelling done in this car is in town then it is a problem. I have also noticed that the radiator fan has been running on after the ignition is off.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Just an addition, I have retested the car and it seems to be more related to engine speed. As when I sat on the front with engine running on tick over it was fine. when I kept the revs between 1500 and 2000 revs the heat went up.
