Fibreglass lintels

What's the crack with these new cavity lintels that have a GRP outer leaf?

I'm sure they must work or they wouldn't be on sale... but I'm just shopping for one for a 2.3M span and the idea of that much of a masonary triangle sitting on some fibreglass makes me gulp!
