Hello

I have noticed recently that patches of filler in the ceiling have come away and cracked. However a couple of weeks ago we had a new boiler fitted and it involved alot of drilling and banging to put the pipes through the ceiling. It even caused cracks between the ceiling/wall when pipes where inserted! As these affected areas are right next to the pipes, could it be possible that the banging and vibration has caused a disturbance to the filler and made it come away?

It's not a major problem as I can just re-fill and paint but just wondered is this could be the cause.

Thanks

Phil

Quite possibly. If there's any newly heated pipework running nearby, this may also have caused cracks to appear.
