I need to fill a Notification of duty for Building control. But I'm struggling to fill it in. its a self build project but the form wants to know if the dutyholder is either principal designer/sole designer/principal contractor/sole contractor. As I am the main contractor I assume I put me first. But it needs 3 people I believe. Any suggestions to who that can be. The company know its a self build and said they are fine with that. I don't want to put the Engineer as we never discussed it and the Architect has retired.
When I googled it it said anyone involved in the build or design but I'm at a loss what to do. Cheers

Just put yourself down for multiple rolls.
If you are doing it all as a self builder as you are the one responsible.
That's my understanding from memory.
Sssds course I done some years back there was a builder there and it was discussed about different rolls as he done them all.
You probably looked online so what did you find?

It's for legal reasons the people are named.
Health and safety ect.
The client is the most responsible ultimately as paying for it all.

Don't know if I've helped as no expert on subject

Just put yourself down as everything - its a box-ticking exercise so that they can give you the Certificate.
Its all nonsense of course, deriving from Judith Hacketts' Grenfell enquiry, providing what the Report calls 'golden threads' (whatever that means?) for just more meaningless, pointless and expensive paperwork for the building industry.
As it there isn't enough already.
