Months ago, I bought a cheap, usb fingerprint login dongle. It worked, but very unreliably, to login to Windows - in as much that the driver seemed not to always start, I found I had to uplug it, reconnect, before it would begin to work, even then, no guarantees it would work, and so try plugging it into a different port. Incredibly annoying.
Suddenly, coincidentally with what seems to have been a Win11 update, it has been working fine.
