I’ve knocked down a rotten porch and replacing it with a new one that’s slightly different.

The picture is where i’m upto, i’ve just knocked up that frame at 36degrees to see how high it sits and how it looks.

Should I now order the windows and doors or should I get on with the roof?

I was thinking windows and door so I can fix the roof to the frame and be sure everything is central. The gable will be upvc and glass.

I’ll take any advice on the roof construction too. The tiles are Marley Old English double Romans and the rafters are 1.7mtrs long.

I was wondering if I should use a deeper rafter (i’ve got a load of 6x2) and have the top of it level with the mock up and the bottom of it 3” lower, i though that might help me when I put the facia boards on the front.

Thanks :)

(And i’m having the front acid cleaned and pointed)
