Fire door regulations

Hi all,

Can anyone help please as I have been googling and seem to get different answers and the rega seem a bit of a minefield.

I am in a 2011 house just moved into.

Replacing current doors mostly are fire doors as a 3 story property.

I have just replaced two and have gone with 30 minute approved doors and replaced the intumescent strips as were painted over etc.

I was told by tradesman the frames were ok as is.

As a residential
property, is there anything else needed to comply with regs?

If you are replacing, then to you replace like for like and you will comply with the regulations in force when the doors were fitted. You don't need to comply with current regulations as they may be different.

And yes on that principle the existing door linings will be fine.

Ensure the new ironmongery is fire rated, and the gaps around the door are the required width and not excessive. Refer to the door manufacturer's guidelines.

No closers should be fitted, but if you have a garage any door to that should have a closer and also be FD30s (ie have smoke seals)
